Flatbed ratio reverses 10-week decline

Capacity is tight in all but a few states. Some flatbed sectors, however, are slowing seasonally: Raleigh to Miami lost 60¢ to $2.91/mile, Rock Island, IL to Indianapolis fell 55¢ to $3.30/mile, Last week the national load-to-truck ratio for flatbeds was 28:1. Roanoke to Atlanta rose 65¢ to $3.08/mile. NOT SO HOT.

Freight Rates Are Climbing, Especially on These 3 Lanes

Atlanta is the top market for load posts on DAT Load Boards , and tighter capacity has led to higher rates there. Memphis to Indianapolis added 22¢ to $1.88/mile. Prices fell sharply in Lakeland, FL , and Miami , but there were big gains in Atlanta , Dallas , and near the Mexican border in Nogales, AZ. mile on average.
