That's just a little more than two weeks away, and the end of March is also the end of the first quarter, when shippers typically accelerate freight movements to close their books on a high note. Buffalo to Columbus was up 20¢ to $2.36/mile. Memphis to Columbus lost 37¢ to $2.28/mile. Not So Hot.

As expected, June went into the books with the highest spot market rates on record. Memphis to Columbus also rose 37¢ to $3.49/mile Farther north, Columbus to Allentown, PA , was up 28¢ to $3.83/mile. The average spot van rate was equal to the average contract van rate.

The state of Kentucky has had a “Healthy At Home” order on the books since March 23. New Jersey has an open-ended stay-at-home order on the books.
