Houston to Oklahoma City was down 8¢ to $1.97/mile. Asparagus, beans, and peas are shipping out of Western Michigan, and reefer rates on the lane from Grand Rapids to Philadelphia jumped up 47¢ to $3.17/mile. Cleveland to Chicago also paid 15¢ better at $1.75/mile. Declining lanes were few and far between.

According to Michigan State University , the major cities at risk during hurricane season include many from Miami to New York City and just about every place in between, along with New Orleans, Houston and others. Being a Yankee from the great state of Michigan, I had never heard of the Texas Triangle, so I asked what it was. The Texas Triangle refers to an area of Texas that is roughly bordered by Dallas, Houston and San Antonio / Austin (when you are Texas you get to call 4 points a triangle).
