When analyzing the statistics of this blog, I found that SCM researchers appear to be very interested in posts concerning journal rankings, namely about the ABS Academic Journal Quality Guide and VHB-JOURQUAL. I would not have published them if I wasn’t sure journal rankings can be beneficial for our research community.

Over time, the demands on survey research in SCM have increased – for good reasons. Anyone who designs a survey in SCM should therefore read this editorial carefully and strictly adhere to the recommendation to use a Type 4 design. Otherwise they risk that the study has no chance of being published in a high-quality academic journal.
