Wing and Zipline are drone delivery providers and will allow Walmart to cover 75 percent of the Dallas-Fort Worth population as stores in 30 towns and municipalities will now offer drone delivery service. Wing already handles drone deliveries at Walmart Supercenters in Frisco, Texas, and the Dallas area.

The Hummingbird has made hundreds of thousands of deliveries in Dallas suburbs, Virginia, Australia and Finland. The new drone prototypes use many of the same components, such as motors and guidance systems, and follow similar designs.
