Van freight gears up for the holidays

Falling lane included: Philadelphia to Boston slipped 16¢ to $3.72/mile. The Dallas and Houston markets continue to be extremely slow, with weak load-to-truck ratios. Overall, the state has a load-to-truck ratio of 3.1 – it’s basically stuck in neutral. Buffalo to Allentown was down 14¢ to $3.25/mile.

Declining lanes included: Elizabeth, NJ to Boston dropped 38¢ to $3.81/mi. Philadelphia to Miami fell 22¢ to $1.96/mi. Grand Rapids to Atlanta added 21¢ to $2.71/mi. Falling Rates. The prior week's rising lanes came back to earth. Grand Rapids to Cleveland was down 29¢ to $3.85/mi.
