That’s the highest rate for that lane in more than a year.

A lot of that produce originates in the Tifton and Macon markets in Southern Georgia, and is distributed out of Atlanta. Dallas to Columbus got a 37¢ boost, to $2.50. Atlanta was a super-hot market for reefers as well as vans, thanks to all the seasonal produce leaving refrigerated warehouses and food processing plants.

More loads moved out of Chicago, and Columbus had fewer loads than the previous week, but rates were up on the biggest lanes out of both markets. And that was it.
